Let's talk about the job

This is a flatbed OTR driving position with Halvor Lines. You'll be out for runs of 5 to 7 days, then resetting at home for your 34 hour break. It's a schedule built for steady miles without being gone for months.

The pay structure is built to reward performance. Top drivers can earn up to $102,000 a year. Your total compensation can reach up to 68 cents per mile when you factor in all the bonuses. You get to choose between a base CPM or a percentage pay model. On top of that, performance and fuel bonuses can add another 8 CPM to your check.

We know flatbed is a skill. That's why we provide paid training for tarping and load securement before you hit the road solo. It's not just about safety; it's about building your confidence and earning potential from day one.

What you'll be doing

• Operating an OTR flatbed route, managing your schedule for runs of 5 7 days on the road.
• Securing and tarping loads properly after completing our paid training program.
• Choosing between base CPM or percentage pay models that work best for you.
• Maximizing your earnings by qualifying for performance and fuel bonuses.
• Driving late model company trucks equipped with amenities like TVs, refrigerators, inverters, and bunk heaters.
• The option to bring along a rider or your pet if you want company on the road.

The gear and the good stuff

You're driving modern equipment. We're talking late model trucks that come with creature comforts: a TV, refrigerator, power inverter, and a bunk heater are standard.

The benefits package is full scale. You get medical, dental, and vision insurance options; Flexible Spending Account (FSA) plans; paid time off; and a 401(k) plan where the company matches 4% of what you put in.

And there are some specific perks tied to this role:

• A $1,500 sign on bonus: $750 after your first load and $750 after 90 days.
• $1,000 in orientation pay when you start.
• A referral program that pays $2,000 plus an extra penny for every mile your referral drives.
• The chance to become a trainer later on and earn an additional 27 CPM while training new drivers.

What we need from you

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
• If applying as a Company Driver: At least 6 months of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
• If applying as a 1099 Contractor: At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
