The Job

This is a PRN Histology Technician role at Methodist Health System in Dallas, TX. You'll work 12pm to 12am, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.

You'll prepare histology specimens for microscopic examination and analysis by Pathologists. It's a job where what you do directly affects patient care.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Prepare tissue specimens for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
• Ensure slides are ready for Pathologist review
• Communicate clearly with the lab team and other departments
• Build working relationships that make collaboration easier
• Own your performance ; if something needs fixing, you speak up
• Look for ways to improve how patients experience their care
• Take initiative for your own professional growth
• Help build a team that actually wants to win together

What You Need to Bring

• A high school diploma is required
• Completion of a Histology Training Program or equivalent on the job Histology training is required (no exceptions)
• HT(ASCP) Certification is required
• Three years of full time employment in a Histology laboratory is preferred ; we'd really like to see that experience on your resume

The Work Schedule and Shift Details

The shift runs from 12pm to 12am. It's a PRN role, so you'll be called in as needed. The standard schedule covers Monday through Friday, but weekends are part of the deal when needed.
