About This Role
The Work
This is a PRN position, so the hours vary. You'll need to cover two weekend days each month, and there are weekday shifts available too. When you're on, it's an 8 hour day shift.
You're the one providing professional physical therapy. That means evaluating patients, creating and carrying out treatment plans, doing ongoing re assessments, and planning for their discharge. You'll work directly with patients and handle their indirect care needs, all within the scope of the Practice of Physical Therapy Act.
What You Need to Bring
- A bachelor's or post baccalaureate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- A valid Texas PT license; temporary licenses are okay if that's your current status.
- At least one year of experience working as a licensed Physical Therapist.
- A current Basic Life Support certification.
How We Work
We expect you to communicate clearly. Build real relationships with the team around you. Own your part in patient care and always look for ways to make a patient's time here better.
We want people who take charge of their own professional growth. Show up engaged and ready to be part of this team.
The Place
You'd be at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Dallas, TX. It's a 294 bed hospital that handles everything from strokes and heart attacks (they're certified Advanced Primary Centers for both) to trauma, NICU, and maternal care. They're adding a ninth operating room in 2025.
The culture here has gotten some serious nods: Magnet designation for nursing, a spot on Becker’s Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare last year, and they're recognized as a top Military Friendly Employer. Over 1,700 people work here alongside about 900 physicians.
