About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. It's not for everyone, but if you're the type who likes to be out on your own, solving problems and talking with people, you might want to keep reading.
This is a full time field technician role with Hawx Pest Control in Dallas, TX. You're the person showing up at someone's home or business, figuring out what's bugging them; literally; and taking care of it. The schedule is built around service routes they give you.
What you'd be doing
- Inspecting properties and performing pest control treatments for residential and commercial customers.
- The work is physical. You'll be going in and out of structures, into crawl spaces, climbing on top of things, and using ladders and stairs.
- Your main goal is resolving pest issues. That means delivering great service, listening to customer concerns, and using different strategies to fix the problem.
- A big part of the day is following a set route efficiently while keeping everything professional.
- You'll read pesticide labels to mix products correctly based on what you need for the job.
- After each service, there's paperwork. Recording your work activities is non negotiable.
- You're also responsible for the company truck, equipment, and gas card. Keeping everything maintained and cared for is on you.
The kind of person we need
We hire from all sorts of backgrounds; construction, landscaping, retail, grocery. If you're used to hard work and dealing with people, we can teach you the pest control part. Here’s what really matters:
- You show up on time. You see a task through to the end. Reliability isn't just a word here; it's how the job gets done.
- You're a people person. You can keep things positive, adapt to different customers, and build good working relationships.
- You know how to talk and listen. Conveying information clearly and incorporating feedback from team members or customers is key.
- You don't mind pests. Cockroaches? Spiders? You can work calmly around them all.
- Physically, you've got to be able to handle it: bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting while driving, stretching, reaching into tight spots.

- You must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license that passes our motor vehicle record check.
- A required background check and drug screening are part of the hiring process.
- A current Field Representative or Applicator license is needed from day one; we can't sponsor this certification initially so please only apply if you have an active license already .
