
About This Role
The Short Version
This role is for an Associate Attorney at a litigation firm that does mostly property and casualty defense. Fully remote, but you have to live in or near the Houston area and be barred in Texas. The pay is between $115,000 and $150,000 a year.

A well established litigation firm with a strong reputation in insurance defense ; especially property and casualty matters. The team here values collaboration, autonomy, and high quality advocacy. You'd have a supportive environment whether you're working remotely or heading into one of their regional offices.
What You'll Actually Do
- Defend clients in general liability cases: premises liability, property damage, and auto related claims.
- Handle cases from start to finish ; written discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, the whole lifecycle.
- Develop case strategies with input from firm leadership and clients.
- Keep communication open with clients and internal teams so case management stays efficient and responsive.
What You Need
- A J.D. from an accredited law school.
- An active license to practice law in Texas.
- At least three years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on property liability.
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- You're comfortable managing your own caseload in a remote work environment.
Where and How
Fully remote, but you need to live in or near the Houston area. You'll get supportive onboarding with mentorship from firm leadership. No exceptions on the Texas bar and Houston location ; if you don't meet both, this isn't the role for you.
