This Diesel Mechanic role at Greyhound is about keeping our fleet of over the road buses running safely and reliably. You're not just turning wrenches ; you're part of a crew that genuinely likes working together. We're a friendly bunch who support each other and don't take ourselves too seriously.
- Run high quality routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and coach related components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they pop up
- Repair or replace defective parts ; think engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Keep accurate records of every service job you complete
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols without cutting corners
- Work closely with your teammates to keep service timely and high quality
- Stay up to date on the latest diesel engine tech and repair techniques
What you need to bring
This job runs on a shift schedule ; you'll need to be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays. You also need a valid driver's license. Don't have a CDL yet? No problem. We'll cover the cost for you to get one.
You should have at least 2 years of hands on experience doing bus motorcoach, Class A truck, or Class A motorhome repairs. That's the baseline. We're looking for real experience, not just a few classes.
