About This Role
Data/Financial Analyst
Med Trans Corporation needs a Senior Financial Analyst for a hybrid role in Dallas, TX. This one is closer to the real action than most analyst gigs ; you'll work directly with the Director of Finance Operations, the COO of Med Trans, and the President of GMR Health Systems. The pay range is $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience.
You won't just be crunching numbers in a back office. You'll lead or collaborate on strategic initiatives like new base openings, acquisition evaluations, and cost control projects. That means your analysis has a real impact on where the company goes next.
What You'll Actually Do
- Help every level of the organization understand their financial measures and processes. You'll need a solid grasp of accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting ; plus some creativity to make it all useful.
- Manage the monthly close and reporting cycle. The focus here is using variance analysis to actually drive business results, not just explain what happened.
- Provide analytics for revenue, operational, and business initiatives. That includes financial modeling, new contract support, and ongoing tracking and evaluation of performance.
- Develop processes and systems to monitor, analyze, and report key operating statistics. If there's a better way to collect or look at the data, you'll build it.
- Assist departmental personnel with budget and forecast activity. You'll also help prepare financial projections and reviews with operating departments.
- Work with the Director of Finance Operations to improve efficiency within the accounting process. If something is clunky, you'll help fix it.
- Identify, modify, and ensure compliance with all hospital and partner contracts. You're the primary liaison on any problems or special projects that come up.
- Continuously improve how data is collected, analyzed, and reported. This isn't a "set it and forget it" kind of role.
What You Need to Bring
Five or more years of professional level experience in both financial analysis and accounting. Not just one or the other ; both. You've built an annual plan that includes Income Statement and Capital Expenditures. You've developed discounted cash flow models with NPV and IRR analysis.
Your financial modeling skills are strong. So are your organization, project management, analytical, and problem solving skills. You're comfortable leading or collaborating on teams across multiple disciplines ; a background in leading those teams is a plus.
You know Excel, Access, Word, and ERP systems. You have a strong statistical background and experience with financial projections. You can meet internal and external deadlines with limited supervision. And you're willing to collaborate with co workers across the GMR footprint.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (or another related field). A Master of Business Administration is preferred but not required.
Why This Company
