About This Role

The role

This is a Charge Nurse (LVN/LPN) position at Belmont Village Turtle Creek in Dallas, TX. You'll work full time, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Open interviews happen every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm ; no appointment needed.

What you'll actually do

  • Administer medications to an assigned group of residents following physician orders, and document any adverse reactions or clinical observations
  • Follow up on physician orders and coordinate services with ancillary providers
  • Report changes of condition or other pertinent clinical care information to physicians and families
  • Oversee Medication Technicians and care providers to make sure resident care and service plans are followed
  • Make situational decisions and manage conflict in a positive, constructive way
  • Update and review resident medical records, clinical documentation, and incident reports
  • Communicate with healthcare practitioners, pharmacies, family members, and team members to ensure timely clinical interventions and follow up
  • Lead and provide direction to Caregivers and Medication Technicians where applicable

What you need to bring

  • An active LVN or LPN license in the state this community is located in
  • CPR certification, or the willingness and ability to get it within 30 days of hire
  • At least one year of medication administration experience ; this is preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience ; also preferred
  • Clear verbal and written English communication skills
  • Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
  • A professional, pleasant, and team oriented attitude
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential
