Job Overview
This is a driving role based out of Dallas, TX. Airport Drivers handle the transport of passengers, crew, or equipment across the tarmac and terminal areas. You'll be behind the wheel for most of your shift, moving between gates, parking lots, and service roads. The work requires constant attention to safety protocols and radio communication. If you're comfortable in a high traffic environment with strict timelines, this job keeps you moving.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Transporting passengers between terminals and parking facilities. You operate shuttle buses or carts on a fixed route. The schedule is tight, so time management matters.
- Moving luggage carts or cargo dollies to designated aircraft zones. This involves hooking up trailers and securing loads before departure.
- Inspecting your vehicle before each shift. You check tire pressure, fluid levels, brakes, and lights. If something's off you report it immediately.
- Communicating with dispatch via two way radio. They'll give you gate assignments and rerouting instructions. Clear communication prevents delays.
- Assisting passengers with mobility issues when boarding or exiting vehicles. You lower ramps and make sure everyone is seated before moving.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license from your state of residence. A clean driving record over the past 3 years is preferred but not always required ; depends on the specific employer in Dallas, TX.
- The ability to pass a pre employment drug screening. Most airport roles enforce random testing as well.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some employers might waive this if you have solid driving experience.

- Able to sit for extended periods while maintaining focus; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds (like loading cargo or assisting with baggage).
