The Gist of This Role
You're a Radiology Technologist heading to Corpus Christi, TX to work for Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area. This isn't a one trick pony role; you'll cover routine diagnostic x rays, portable x rays, and fluoroscopy. It's a mix of technical skill and patient transport, and you'll be part of a hospital system that spans 630+ beds across the Coastal Bend.
What You'll Actually Do
- Get quality diagnostic images; that's the core of it.
- Scan in labels and document everything properly.
- Resolve QA issues ; don't let them pile up, handle them quickly.
- Make sure images get released to radiologists without delay.
- Check that every order is valid and entered correctly into the system.
- Transport patients whenever it's needed; you're not just stuck in a room.
What You Need to Bring
- A diploma from an accredited or registered School of Radiology.
- Current A.R.R.T. (R) registration ; that's non negotiable.
- A current Texas Department of Health (CMRT) or TMB license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- One year of hospital experience is preferred, but not absolutely required.
