About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Lead Medical Assistant role at Conviva in Corpus Christi, TX. This isn't your standard MA job; it's the lead position. You're the first point of contact and you own the process. You'll need to be sharp, independent, and ready to guide others.
What you'll do
The day to day mixes advanced clinical work with running the show administratively. You're collaborating directly with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, making decisions on daily priorities, and often overseeing the work of other MAs or external vendors.
- Handle a full range of clinical duties: discussing symptoms, taking vitals, giving medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and running diagnostic tests.
- You're responsible for sterilizing equipment, keeping exam rooms ready, and documenting everything accurately in the electronic medical record.
- This is about ownership. You'll lead specialized administrative and customer support tasks that require your own initiative and judgment.
- A big part of the job is mentoring and providing advanced guidance to other Medical Assistants on your team. You'll also contribute to process improvements and help with in depth training.
What you need to bring
We need someone who's been around the block clinically and is ready to step up into a leadership role. Here are the non negotiables.

And because you might handle sensitive info, please know that during the application you may be asked to provide your Social Security Number securely if it's not already on file.
The extras we'd love to see
If you have any of this background, it's a major plus.
- Even better if one or more of those years of MA experience was in a Primary Care Office center.
- Any background in Value Based Care would be great; things like knowledge of HEDIS measures, CPT/ICD coding, or CAHPS/HOS patient experience surveys.
