About This Role

The role

This is a CT Technologist position at Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional in Corpus Christi, TX. You'll work with computed tomography equipment to produce radiographs based on physician orders. It's a clinical role where patient interaction matters as much as technical precision.

What you'll do

  • Prepare patients for CT exams, explain the procedure, and make sure the technical quality is right.
  • Keep your professional knowledge current through mandatory and continuing education requirements.
  • Use medical terminology accurately within the Imaging Department.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and students who are learning the ropes.
  • Work with the team to meet the department's needs.

Required qualifications

  • An Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • A current MRT license from the Texas Department of Health.
  • Current ARRT registration.
  • Advanced CT certification ; you'll need to get this within 6 months of starting.
  • A current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications

Previous CT experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred, but not required.

About the facility

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630+ bed healthcare system serving Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend community. You'd be working at Doctors Regional, which is an acute care hospital with a 24 hour emergency department, cardiac catheterization labs, orthopedic and surgical services, and inpatient rehabilitation.
