The Gig

This is a CDL A delivery driver role with McLane Company. You'll be hauling America's favorite brands ; the stuff that ends up in restaurants, retail stores, and warehouses. It's physical work, it's road work, and it pays well because it matters.

You'll start earning from day one, get a solid retention bonus, and actually come home more often than a lot of trucking jobs let you. Drivers here tend to stick around for years. That says something.

What You'll Actually Do

• Inspect your tractor trailer for defects before and after every trip, then submit a DOT inspection report.
• Check the bill of lading and store keys for accuracy ; especially for off hour deliveries.
• Drive the tractor trailer to its destination, using your knowledge of commercial driving regulations and your skill maneuvering on the road and on customer property.
• Keep a driver log (manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT rules, and document delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions.
• Unload the trailer and deliver product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned ; because that's how real jobs work.

Pay & Benefits

• Driver average: $90,000 to $95,000 per year. Top drivers can earn $100,000+ per year.
• Pay is based on hours, miles, cases, and stops.
• $7,500 CDL A driver retention bonus.
• $3,000 CDL A driver referral bonus.

What You Need

• At least 21 years old.
• A valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• You need to read, write, and understand English well enough to do the job safely ; that includes work instructions, safety protocols, and everyday communications.
