Team Lead

What you'll do

You're in charge of the team and the bakery's operation. That covers a lot.

• You'll handle the full cycle for your team members: interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling the work.
• Giving regular feedback, coaching people up, and handling any performance or disciplinary issues falls to you.
• A big part of it is developing future leaders on your team; spotting talent and helping people grow is how we get better.
• You manage the department budget and inventory, keeping a close eye on sales goals, profit targets, and controlling waste or loss.
• Safety is non negotiable. It’s the top priority for your team, our customers, and our products.
• Communication is key. You'll keep your team informed and work with other store leaders to make sure promotions and plans are executed well.
• You'll review sales reports and inventory data to figure out how to improve performance week to week.

What you need to bring

We need someone who knows how to lead people in a retail setting.

• You must have some retail work experience already. Leadership or supervisory experience is a major plus.
• We'd love to see if you've been a peer trainer, an in store champion for something like safety or service, or if you have solid bakery product knowledge.
• A clean performance and discipline record is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is needed.
• The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• You've got to be at least 18 years old.

The pay range for this position is $minimumpayrange1–$maximumpayrange1 per hour/year. Where you land in that range depends on your experience, skills, education; the usual factors. The job doesn't require travel; it's all here in Columbus, OH.
