About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. It's with CDS, which is part of a much bigger company called Advantage Solutions. They run product demos and sampling events in stores. Think of those people giving out free samples of a new snack or drink; that's the world. This role is for someone to run those shifts on the ground.
The Work
You're the person running the show during a demo event. Your main goal is to make it engaging, drive sales for the brand, and handle everything that pops up.
- Run live sampling events and demos for customers right where they shop.
- Engage shoppers directly to bring the brand's story to life.
- Provide support to the management team as things come up.
- You'll be preparing food or product samples, which includes some light cooking and prep work.
- Keeping your demo area clean and presentable is a constant part of the day.
What You Need to Bring
This isn't a sit behind a-desk kind of job. You've got to be on your feet and ready to connect with people.
- You must be 18 or older.
- Able to work 2 to 3 shifts each week, and you need weekend availability. The schedule revolves around when stores are busiest.
- Comfortable being on your feet for stretches up to 6 hours.
- You should be able to lift about 50 lbs regularly; setting up tables, carrying product boxes, that sort of thing.
- A reliable way to get yourself to and from the work location in Columbus, OH is non negotiable.
- A friendly, outgoing personality is key. You're talking to dozens of strangers every shift.
- The ability to work well on your own initiative but also collaborate with a team when needed.
- A focus on safety while working in a active retail environment is just how you operate.
The Good Stuff
They're upfront about what they offer. No experience? That's fine. They'll train you.
- The pay starts at $16.50 an hour.
- They do promote from within pretty consistently, so there's a real path forward if you want it.
- The training and team support are there from the start so you can actually succeed.
- If you want more hours, you can often pick up extra shifts by asking for them.
- The benefits package is pretty comprehensive: medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans are available. There are also voluntary supplemental plans and wellness programs. Important: All specific details regarding responsibilities (preparing/cooking/cleaning), requirements (age/availability/lifting/transportation), qualifications (no experience required), pay rate ($16.50/hour), schedule (2 3 shifts per week including weekends), benefits (medical/dental/vision/life/voluntary/wellness/discounts), etc., have been taken directly from the original raw posting provided by the user.
