About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this mammography tech role. It's a day shift position, 24 hours a week, based out of the mobile mammography unit in Columbus, OH. You're the one making sure everything runs smoothly and safely from start to finish.
What you'll do
Most of your time, about 75%, is with patients. You'll bring them in, explain exactly what's going to happen during their mammogram, and handle all the documentation. Your main job is to produce clear, high quality images for interpretation. That means checking your work as you go to ensure the technical quality is there.
The rest of your focus is split between two critical areas. You'll manage the administrative side, like registration tasks, to make sure services are covered. And you're personally responsible for the quality control of your equipment and program. That includes running QC tests, keeping meticulous logs, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and making sure all our manuals and practices are up to date with FDA and American College of Radiology standards. If a QC test comes back abnormal, you investigate and correct it.
We operate as a High Reliability Organization. So every task you do; patient care, paperwork, equipment checks; needs that same focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
What you need to have
- An Associate's Degree.
- A valid driver's license.
- Your ARRT certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- A current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of experience in radiology or mammography.
