Parts Specialist

The Role

You'll be the person customers talk to first at our Heritage Pool Supply location in Columbus, OH. It's a counter sales gig, but really it's about helping pool pros get exactly what they need so they can get back to work. You're taking orders by phone, email, and in person, keeping everything straight, and making sure the right stuff gets on the right truck at the right time.

This is an on site job. No travel required. You report to the Branch Manager.

What You'll Actually Do

• Help customers. In person, over the phone, through email. Answer questions, give pricing, make recommendations. Stay professional and courteous the whole time.
• Process orders. Use the company's computer system to enter transactions, create sales orders, and generate quotes. You'll use customer measurements to estimate material needs and project costs.
• Schedule deliveries. Coordinate truck routes so customers get their stuff when they need it.
• Support inventory. Cycle counts, order picking, staging, replenishment, shipping and receiving. You'll be part of keeping the stock straight.
• Work with the warehouse team. Communicate customer needs and special order requests to management and coworkers so we keep improving what we offer.
• Keep the place clean. An organized workspace means safer and smoother operations.
• Do whatever else pops up. This is a team environment and stuff happens. Pitch in.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, full time. During peak season you'll work overtime. It's a dynamic setting and you need to be adaptable and ready for a deadline driven pace. You'll split your time between the counter and the warehouse.

What You Need to Bring

Customer service or sales experience is preferred. You should know your way around basic computers and the internet. Experience with point of sale systems and order entry procedures is a real plus. You have to be able to communicate clearly in person, on the phone, and by email. Problem solving is part of the job ; customers ask questions and you're the one finding answers.

Physically, you'll be on your feet for extended periods, using your hands for computer work, and lifting up to 75 lbs regularly, with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. You'll be in a warehouse and may work in outdoor conditions. Honesty, respect, and a courteous attitude toward everyone are non negotiables. You must pass a pre employment drug test.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Previous experience with swimming pool or maintenance sales helps. Forklift operation experience is preferred, but we'll train you on site if you don't have it. We're looking for someone who can drive sales outcomes and has a knack for recommending products that fit the customer's needs.
