Maintenance Technician

What you'll be doing

This Maintenance Technician role is based in Columbus, OH and covers a broad range of work across the distribution center. You'll keep facilities and equipment running safely and effectively. That means jumping into different areas as needs come up, from equipment and conveyor repair to building maintenance like lighting, electrical, and plumbing.

You'll read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. You'll use diagnostic tools like digital and analog meters for AC/DC testing. Load wheels on power equipment need changing sometimes, and you'll troubleshoot low and high voltage controls, including fuses, relays, and wiring. Conveyor maintenance experience? • Troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage controls, including fuses, relays, and wiring
• Change load wheels on power equipment
• Work with vendors aligned to the facilities
• Maintain building, equipment, shop, and storage areas in clean, orderly condition
• Complete work orders for work performed, including parts and inventory used
• Document all work order activities to comply with MP2 requirements
• Follow lockout/tagout and confined space procedures, plus other safety and environmental policies
• Work with your Supervisor to mentor and develop team members and technicians in training

What you need to bring

You've got prior maintenance experience in a distribution center setting. Building conveyor maintenance is a must. You know your way around forklifts, conveyors, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and building maintenance. Electrical work with both high and low voltage, AC and DC ; that's in your wheelhouse.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Computer skills for email and Microsoft Suite
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Welding skill is preferred but not required
• Technical school or training is desired
