Endoscopy RN

OhioHealth·Columbus, OH

About This Role

Endoscopy RN

OhioHealth believes wellness and sickness are both part of a lifelong partnership. We work hard, care deeply, and try to help people uncover their own power to be healthy. This Endoscopy RN role in Columbus, OH is for someone who wants to be an expert guide for patients and families in an acute care setting.

What you'll do

You will provide professional nursing care across the full continuum of care. That means you assess each patient, plan their care, implement interventions, and evaluate how things are going. You'll document initial health status assessments and ongoing changes as they happen (about 30% of your time). Based on nursing diagnoses, you'll plan interventions tailored to the patient's needs and write them down clearly (another 30%). You'll then evaluate how those interventions worked, revise the plan with input from the multidisciplinary team, and document everything at appropriate intervals (roughly 20%). Leadership makes up about 10% of the role: you'll participate in process improvement efforts focused on clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Operations rounds out the last 10%.

The department operates 24/7/365 with scheduled staff. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), safety, quality, and efficiency are part of every shift ; not just tasks but how you approach each day.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi state compact state license in good standing
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN must be completed within 5 years of employment
  • At least 2 years of prior RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Previous experience in critical care, pre/post, or endoscopy is preferred but not required
  • A commitment to on call requirements ; this is mandatory

Schedule
