We’re looking for a Supervisor, Data Center for projects in Columbus, OH and nationwide. This person will be the expert on ISP (inside plant) copper and fiber cable installations. You’ll perform installations and removals of powered and non powered equipment, and you'll also lead others onsite. You need to be customer focused, quality driven, and all in on safety.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Install fiber and copper cable at an expert level, including termination, assembly, and dressing to meet customer requirements
  • Add and remove non powered and powered cables and equipment like racks and cabinets, following project scope, wiring, connections, and rack elevation drawings
  • Perform fiber splicing, scoping, testing, and certification to make sure deliverables are solid
  • Use your knowledge of data center infrastructure ; cable media, connectivity, hot/cold aisle containment, cabinet airflow, cabling capabilities ; to get good results
  • Handle Central Office Frame Verification for IDC termination on 66/110/LSA blocks, terminate coaxial cable with F connectors, and test paired cables with pair scanners
  • Install and cable secondary DC power equipment, including terminations and connections into active power bays
  • Produce redline drawings, cable test validation, and other deliverables to support the PM and customer approval process, helping drive invoicing
  • Be a culture champion ; promote company events and opportunities with an all in attitude
  • Partner with construction management to oversee time, materials, documentation, tools, equipment, and subcontractors onsite
  • Lead and train crew members. Set the example for safety, quality, production, performance, and conduct
  • Communicate directly with customers, internal crews, and subcontractors. Address complaints and issues as they come up
  • Safety is the expectation ; lead by example, teach others, partner with safety to present topics, and actively participate in pre task, good catch, and safety assessment standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

What You Need to Bring

  • 6 to 10 years of ISP cable installation experience ; no shortcuts here
  • 2+ years of data center buildout experience
  • 2+ years of Central Office experience
  • 100% travel ability nationwide ; this role moves where the projects are

Work Environment and Physical Stuff

You’ll support ISP projects in a variety of customer facilities across the country. Expect to sit, squat, stand, walk, climb, and move around. You might be exposed to uncomfortable sounds or noise levels on site. And you'll need to wear common protective gear ; safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.

This position is classified as non exempt. It requires nationwide travel, so you need to be ready to go where the work is.
