Alright, let's talk about this CT Tech opening at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

The Schedule

This is a part time gig. You're looking at 24 hours a week. The shift is 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, every Monday and Wednesday. And there's call involved; you'll need to cover about three or four call shifts each month.

What You'd Be Doing

• You run the CT scanner for all kinds of procedures, following the radiologists' directions.
• A big part of your day is getting patients ready. That means explaining what's going to happen and reviewing their clinical history.
• You check lab values and screen for allergies before giving any contrast media.
• Administering oral and IV contrast is part of the job.
• Scheduling patients in an organized way falls under your responsibilities too.
• You'll coordinate the workload with other clinical sections and departments to keep things moving smoothly.
• Keeping an eye on quality in patient care functions is expected. Everything you do follows approved protocols.

The Must Haves (No Exceptions)

• You have to be a graduate from an accredited radiography program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• A valid Ohio Radiologic License from the ODH (Ohio Department of Health).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

The Logistics

The work shift is listed as variable, but those Monday/Wednesday hours are set. Scheduled weekly hours are 24. This position sits within the CT Scan department.
