About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this Cardiac RN role in Columbus, OH.

This isn't just a job where you follow a checklist. You're the guide for patients and their families through some of the most critical moments in healthcare. You'll think on your feet, collaborate closely with a team, and use your judgment every single shift. It's demanding, and it matters.

What you'll do

Your day is built around the full nursing process. You'll assess patients, figure out what they need, make a plan, put it into action, and see how it's working. Then you adjust. It's a cycle of constant attention and adaptation.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of each patient's health status.
  • Develop and document nursing care plans based on your assessments and diagnoses.
  • Implement those plans, evaluate how patients are responding, and update the approach as needed.
  • You're part of a multidisciplinary team; revising care together is standard practice.
  • A portion of your focus will be on leadership within your scope, participating in projects that improve clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Everything is done with an eye on safety, quality, and efficiency. We operate as a High Reliability Organization (HRO), which means those principles aren't just ideas; they're how we work.

What you need to have

The non negotiables are pretty clear here. We need someone who has the foundation and the official green light to practice.

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • You must have an active RN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory. CPR certification is also required.
  • The posting lists zero years of experience being acceptable. So if you're a new grad with these credentials, you're in consideration.
  • Your field of study needs to be Nursing.

The schedule & details

This is a night shift position. You'll be scheduled for 36 hours per week on the Cardiovascular Unit. Be ready for that rhythm.
