  • Lead monthly Services Walks to make sure policies and procedures are being followed
  • Respond to pet parent concerns in person, over the phone, or online ; including escalated issues that need a calm hand
  • Assist with reservations in our hotels, salons, and training programs
  • Oversee all PetSmart services: salon, training, hotel, and day camp, plus live pet sales and adoptions
  • Take immediate action if a sick or injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed
  • Share responsibility for opening and closing the store to uphold our brand promise
  • Drive sales and manage expenses like labor and supplies to hit our P&L targets
  • Work directly with services associates on productivity and scheduling to grow the business
  • Partner with home office on work orders and purchase card allocation
  • Organize store events and marketing activities for adoptions, hotel promotions, and more

What you need to bring

  • Written and verbal communication that's clear and effective
  • Ability to keep your composure under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
  • Comfortable standing, walking, climbing a ladder, and using your hands to handle, feel, hold, and write
  • You'll need to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear regularly
  • Specific vision includes depth perception
  • Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities

Who you'll lead

You'll typically supervise between one and six lead associates and anywhere from ten to seventy non leader associates. All supervisory responsibilities follow PetSmart's policies and procedures.
