Registered Nurse

Aveanna Healthcare·Columbus, GA

About This Role

Hey there. I've been recruiting nurses for over a decade, and I can tell you this isn't your average desk job. It's for a Clinical Supervisor RN at Aveanna Healthcare in Columbus, GA. You'll be the clinical anchor for a caseload of medically fragile patients, making sure the care they get at home is top notch. Think of it as part case manager, part coach, and part quality control; all while helping people stay where they want to be.

What you'll do

Your main focus is managing the internal casework and supporting the nurses in the field. You're not just reviewing charts; you're actively developing the nursing talent on your team.

  • You’ll handle Start of Care Assessments and Re evaluations to smoothly transition patients from facilities back into their homes.
  • Reviewing physicians' orders and updating care plans is a regular part of the rhythm here.
  • A big piece is assisting with interviewing, selecting, and training new clinical staff. You'll also validate their competencies.
  • Your goal is to enhance the clinical expertise of the field nurses to ensure safe, high quality care every time.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with the operations and business development teams.
  • Making sure everything complies with State, Federal, Local, and Aveanna's own policies is ultimately on your watch.

What you need to bring

We need someone who's been in the trenches and knows what good nursing looks like. You don't need a decade of experience, but you do need solid fundamentals and a desire to lead.

  • A current RN license in good standing for this state is non negotiable.
  • Bring at least one year of hands on nursing experience.
  • You have to be willing to supervise nurses providing skilled in home care to patients of all ages; infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Travel to patients' homes within our service area is required. So you'll need reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and you must pass our motor vehicle record check.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is essential.

This is a full time position based out of Columbus, GA. The schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours. There's also a paid rotating on call component you'll be part of.
