Financial Controller

We need an Assistant Controller for our auto group in Columbia, SC. This isn't just a number crunching job; you'll be in the middle of everything, helping to steer the financial health of multiple dealerships. It's a real chance to grow into a leadership position with a solid, expanding company.

What You'll Be Doing

The day to day is about supporting our Controller and making sure our finances are tight across all our locations. You won't be stuck in a back office.

• Help oversee daily accounting and financial operations.
• You're preparing and reviewing financial statements, like income statements and other key reports.
• A big part of this is ensuring we comply with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Keeping an eye on cash flow, expenses, and working capital is essential.
• You'll support and help supervise members of the accounting team.
• We want you involved in hiring, training, and developing accounting staff.
• The role means collaborating with department leaders to get accurate financial reporting done on time.

What You Need to Bring

We're looking for someone who gets the unique rhythm of a car dealership. A general accounting background isn't enough here.

• You must have 2 to 4+ years in automotive accounting, dealership office management, controller support, or something directly related. Dealership experience is required.
• A strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting is non negotiable.
• If you've used CDK software before, that's a definite plus.
• We need excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are key because you'll be working with teams at all levels.
• A valid driver's license with a clean record is required. And you'll need to pass our standard pre employment screening.

The Pay & The Perks

The salary range is $60,000 to $80,000+ per year. Your exact offer will depend on your experience. On top of that:
