Dialysis RN
About This Role
Hey there. I'm a recruiter, and I've been doing this long enough to know when a role has real substance. This one does. It's for a Hemodialysis RN at Encompass Health in Columbia, SC. If you're the kind of nurse who wants to see your patients through a specific, critical part of their recovery, this is worth your time.
What you'll do here
You'll be the dialysis expert for our inpatient rehab population. That means running the hemodialysis treatments, from start to finish, for patients who need it during their stay.
- Your day is built around direct patient care and supervision of treatments.
- You'll do assessments, build care plans, and be the point person for any patient concerns related to their dialysis.
- A big part of the job is connection. You're understanding the physical and emotional needs of your patients to help them move forward.
- You'll also be the resource for our nursing staff, educating them on dialysis patient care, the equipment we use, and the standards we follow.
What you need to bring
The non negotiables are pretty clear. You need to have these.
- A current RN license for this state.
- A CPR certification that's up to date.
- At least six months of hands on dialysis nursing experience.
A few other things that matter to us. We need you to get your ACLS certification within your first year if you don't have it already. Having a CRRN is a nice plus; if you don't have it but are interested, we can help you get there. And while not a must have, we really value nurses with about a year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
The schedule & place
This is at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbia, SC. We're a national leader in inpatient rehab. You've probably seen our name around; we've been on some "best places to work" lists and "most admired companies" lists, which is nice, but what it means is people tend to stay here. The team collaborates without the usual drama because everyone's focused on the patient in front of them. You'll work in a dedicated, modern dialysis suite with good tech.
How we support you
The benefits are solid and they start on day one, whether you're full or part time.
- Medical, dental, and vision plans that won't break the bank for you and your family.
- Paid time off that grows as you're here longer.
- Help with tuition if you want to keep learning; we do reimbursement for continuing education.
- A 401(k) plan with a company match and an option to buy company stock.
- Flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts; you pick what works for your situation.
