
About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this night shift RN role on the Labor & Delivery float team at UCHealth Memorial in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Work
You're floating across the Women's Care and Infants units. That means Mother/Baby, the Birth Center for Labor & Delivery, Women's Care, and the NICU. Your focus is providing direct patient care using the nursing process. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing wellness and evidence based practice guided by AWHONN and AACN standards.
We value precepting new staff and welcome you to bring new knowledge into the clinical environment. Clinical Educators are there to support your specialty training and competency validation during orientation.
What You Need to Bring
- Graduate from an accredited or state board approved Registered Nursing program.
- A current Colorado RN license or compact state licensure.
- At least 6 months of recent Women and Infants nursing experience as an RN. If you don't have that, completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program works too.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. You need the physical card in hand before your start date, and it must be valid for at least sixty days after you're hired.
- You'll need to get your NRP certification within 6 months of starting.
Schedule & Pay
This is a full time night shift position. The schedule is 72 hours per two week pay period.
The base pay range is $35.29 to $54.71 an hour, based on your relevant experience.
On top of that, our Night Shift Incentive Program pays full time night shift RNs an extra $1,600 every quarter. That adds up to $6,400 a year just for working nights. This is an onsite job; there isn't a hybrid or remote option.
