About This Role

What you'll do as a Nurse Educator at UCHealth

This role is based onsite at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO. No hybrid or remote option here. You'll support the Acute Care Service Line, specifically the renal unit and the dialysis unit. Dialysis experience is preferred, but if you don't have it that doesn't automatically rule you out.

You'll work full time, 80 hours per pay period (that's two weeks), on days. Pay ranges from $40.86 to $63.33 per hour, depending on your relevant experience.

In this job, you're developing and delivering services related to orientation, continuing education, and professional development for clinical staff. You'll collaborate with managers and staff to figure out what learning needs and competencies are required. Then you design, deliver, and assess learning activities and curricula tied to clinical competencies, departmental and organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical information technologies. You'll also serve as a consultant and mentor for clinical staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Plus you'll help create, coordinate, and deliver new clinical staff orientation and education activities.

This job requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You need to be comfortable taking appropriate action in a fast paced setting.
