Electrical Engineer

An established engineering consulting organization needs an experienced Electrical Engineer to handle complex building system projects. You'll work on diverse facility types ; think laboratories, healthcare environments, industrial plants, higher education campuses, and commercial developments ; guiding projects from early planning through construction and occupancy.

What you'll do

• Lead electrical system design from initial concept through construction administration and post occupancy evaluation
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within financial targets
• Conduct field assessments, site investigations, and evaluations of existing electrical infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with applicable building, energy, and safety codes, including industry standards like NFPA
• Develop and document designs using BIM platforms and related engineering software tools
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work ; it's about fostering technical growth while maintaining quality standards

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution is required
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design within a consulting or design build environment
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; if you don't have one yet, the ability to get licensed is a plus
• Solid knowledge of electrical, building, and energy codes and standards ; this isn't optional
• Proficiency with design software like Revit, AutoCAD, SKM PTW, or similar platforms matters here
• You're someone who communicates well coordinates projects effectively solves problems analytically
