About This Role

Dialysis RN – PRN Days

This is an onsite, direct patient care position in the Dialysis department at the Colorado Springs, CO location of UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central. It's a PRN role with 0.00 scheduled hours per pay period ; meaning you work on an as needed basis. The shift is days.

Pay ranges from $38.91 to $60.31 per hour, and that range depends on your relevant experience.

What you'll do

You'll provide top of scope nursing care using the nursing process, and you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The patient population is acute care ; moderate to high acuity ; on med surg units. Your dialysis specific duties include patient assessment throughout treatment, plus management of dialysis equipment and supplies. You'll also model proficiency by precepting people who are new to healthcare or new to UCHealth, and you'll help maintain safety and quality at the point of care. Clinical educators support your orientation and ongoing competency validation, and evidence based care models include the core curriculum from AMSN and CDN, plus various specialty certification standards.

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved registered nursing program
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification ; BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with the card in hand before your start date. The BLS or CPR card must be good through at least sixty days from hire
  • 6 months of dialysis nursing experience

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, but not required.
