About This Role

Cardiac RN - Nights

This is a full time night shift position for a Cardiac RN at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs, CO. You'll work on the High Acuity Medical Cardiac unit. The schedule is 0.9 FTE, which comes out to 72 hours per two week pay period, all on nights.

The base pay range is $35.29 to $54.71 an hour, and your specific rate depends on your relevant experience. And because you're working nights, there's an extra incentive: our Night Shift Incentive Program pays full time night RNs $1,600 every quarter. That's an additional $6,400 a year.

This role is onsite; there isn't a hybrid or remote option.

What You'll Do

You'll provide direct patient care at the top of your nursing license, using the nursing process in an acute care setting. Our patients here have moderate to high acuity.

  • Value a team approach with other disciplines to get the best outcomes.
  • Your practice will prioritize wellness, evidence based methods, and seeing things from the patient's perspective.
  • We follow AMSN's core curriculum and specialty certification standards in our care models.
  • You might help precept new staff members or those new to UCHealth.
  • A big part of this job is contributing to safety and quality right at the bedside.
  • The clinical environment here is fast paced and innovative; we expect you to be open to learning new things.

What We Need From You

  • A state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A graduate from an accredited or state board approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. If you have less than three years of experience, this is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • At least six months of experience as an RN.
  • You need a Basic Life Support (BLS) card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer in hand before your first day. The card must be valid for at least sixty days after you start.
  • You’ll need to get your ACLS certification within one year of hire.
