About This Role

The position

A Biomedical Technician role at UCHealth in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an onsite, full time position working days, 80 hours per pay period (two weeks). You'll be maintaining high value, complex, mission critical medical equipment and support systems.

The pay range is $37.04 to $55.57 per hour, depending on relevant experience.

What you'll actually do

  • Respond to advanced support requests and interview customers to figure out the nature of their issue and the right response
  • Diagnose, resolve, and close issues involving high value, complex medical equipment according to service level guidelines
  • Escalate issues promptly to higher level technical support or management when necessary
  • Perform routine safety checks, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on high value, mission critical medical equipment and support systems
  • Mentor team members on customer service policies and procedures, and train, support, and develop the capabilities of other biomedical equipment technicians

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

What you need

  • An Associate's Degree in Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent vocational training
  • A Biomedical Equipment Technician certification or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist certification
  • 5 years of relevant experience
