
About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this role. It's not your typical sales gig where you're just chasing a number. You're the technical bridge between our services and the client. You'll be out in the field, on sites, figuring out what a customer actually needs and then building the proposal to make it happen. If you like solving problems more than just pushing product, keep reading.
What you'll do
Your main goal is to support our sales targets for the region. That means getting out from behind the desk.
- Make regular sales calls to existing key accounts and establish relationships with new ones.
- Develop proposals for company services, working directly with our Operations and corporate teams to get the technical and pricing details right.
- A big part of this is site visits; walking through customer locations, doing field assessments. Your proposals need to be accurate because you've seen it firsthand.
- You'll give presentations to customers on our training services and act as a resource for our Speaker's Bureau.
- Support our marketing efforts to build the company's image. This includes executing a monthly area marketing plan and helping corporate with research or new service assessments.
- Get involved in the industry. We're talking trade shows, professional societies; active participation is expected.
- Sit on the Area Management Committee. We want your input and new ideas to help shape our local sales and marketing plans.

The essentials you must have
The job has physical demands because it's a hands on role. You need a valid driver's license because you'll be covering a territory. Here are the three possible paths to qualify:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE/BSME) with no prior experience required.
- A graduate of an electrical technical school (or equivalent) plus five years of similar work experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus eight years of similar work experience.
The practical details
The schedule isn't always 9 to 5. You need to be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, with some overnight travel required to cover your sales territory. Expect about 50% travel time overall.The work environment isn't an office cube all day.
