The Job in a Nutshell
Hauser Heating & Air Conditioning (part of American Residential Services, the folks with over 7,000 team members and 45 years in the game) needs an In Home Sales Representative ; they call them Comfort Advisors ; for the Cincinnati, OH area. You'll help homeowners replace and upgrade their heating and air conditioning systems. No cold calling, no door knocking. This is a full time, year round gig, and the pay range for top performers lands between $100K and $200K+ annually based on performance (that's the average, not a guarantee).
What You'll Actually Do
You're meeting homeowners at their place to look at their current heating and cooling setup and sell them a replacement. Every appointment is scheduled, so you're not chasing leads in the dark.
- Meet with homeowners during scheduled appointments to assess their HVAC system replacement needs
- Inspect existing heating and air conditioning equipment to figure out the job scope and pricing ; this means getting into attics, crawlspaces, basements, or mechanical areas
- Provide professional recommendations for upgrades and replacements
- Present financing options and system solutions right there during the consultation
- Close sales in a one call close environment ; you get one shot, make it count
- Deliver a professional customer experience from the consultation all the way through installation
- Work closely with installation teams to make sure the handoff is smooth
- Lead flow is consistent, but volume can fluctuate depending on seasonal and weather driven demand

What You Need to Bring
This is a performance driven sales role for closers who thrive in a consultative, one call environment. Here's what matters:
- Prior in home sales experience is preferred
- One call close experience is strongly preferred
- HVAC knowledge is helpful, but not required ; they provide training
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- You need to be able to access attics on hot days and crawlspaces in cold or wet conditions to inspect existing equipment
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills
