About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this sales job. It's not a desk gig. You'll be out on the road, building your own book of business across Cincinnati, OH. We're a distributor in the tobacco industry, and we need someone who can manage a territory, grow relationships with stores, and hit their numbers.
The Work
You're running your own show in a defined area. That means planning your route to visit convenience stores and smoke shops, checking in on existing accounts, and hunting for new ones.
- Your main goal is to drive sales and meet monthly targets.
- A big part of the day is building strong relationships with store owners and managers.
- You'll present new products and explain why they're a good fit for their shelves.
- Checking inventory at customer locations and suggesting reorders is standard.
- You need to keep detailed records of all your visits and sales in our CRM system.
What You Need
We need someone who knows how to work independently. If you've done outside sales before, especially in tobacco or fast moving consumer goods, that's perfect. But it isn't an absolute must.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are non negotiable.
- You should be comfortable managing your own schedule across a wide area; there's significant travel involved here.
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds comes with the territory when you're handling product samples or displays.
- Being organized is key. You'll juggle a lot of accounts and need to track everything clearly.
The Details & What We Provide
The base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $56,000 per year. On top of that, there's commission and bonus potential based on how you perform. We also have specific sales incentives and recognition programs.
- We cover your travel costs with either mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle; you'll also get a gas card.
- Health insurance and retirement plans are part of the package.
- You won't be thrown to the wolves. There's ongoing training and support from the team here to help you get up to speed and succeed.
