About This Role
This isn't your typical Nurse Practitioner job. It's a leadership role that sits at the intersection of clinical practice and operational strategy for our palliative and hospice services.
You'd be providing the clinical oversight for our team of Hospice and Palliative Care Advanced Practice Providers. But you're also steering the ship operationally, making sure our palliative care services are effective, efficient, and always in compliance. The goal is simple but critical: to improve the experience for patients and their families.
What You'd Be Doing
- Providing both clinical and operational oversight for our Hospice and Palliative Care Advance Practice Providers.
- Leading the effort to develop, review, and implement our Palliative Care clinical protocols. You'll work directly with Hospice leadership on this.
- Facilitating regular meetings for the Palliative Care and Hospice Advanced Practice Provider programs. These cover operations and administration.
- Identifying what our APPs need to learn next and building training programs to make it happen.
- Directing onboarding and ongoing training for all Hospice and Palliative Care Advanced Practice Providers.
The Background We Need
First things first: you need to be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Your state license has to be current, unrestricted, and in good standing with your medical or nursing board.
- A minimum of three years working in Palliative Care clinically.
- At least one year in a leadership role is strongly preferred.
- If you've got hospice experience, that's a big plus.
- The same goes for experience with quality improvement methodology; we'd love to see that.
- You must have an excellent grasp of the Hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation.
- A good knowledge of state licensure regulations for hospice is preferred.
The Practical Stuff
The ideal candidate will live in Ohio. This is a hybrid position. You'll split your time between remote work, office visits, and travel to sites in western Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio.
What You Get
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- You're joining a team that genuinely focuses on community service.
