Senior Manager

What you'll actually do

You're building mobile products at Allstate. Not just shipping code, but owning the full stack from frontend to backend. You'll implement applications using 12 factor principles, and you'll iterate constantly on enhancements. This role is about making decisions with the team, not just taking tickets.

• Participate in iteration planning meetings so the whole team understands every story and chore in the backlog
• Execute the strategy with the customer's needs and wants front of mind
• Collaborate with the team on designing systems and applications
• Show up for daily standups ; site, cross site, and product team
• Attend retrospectives to gather feedback and come up with real action items to improve both the team and the product
• Support software products when they're out in user environments
• Share what you know and help grow the collective knowledge of the team
• Practice daily paired programming and test driven development when writing software and building products
• Set up continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines

What you need to bring

• 3 years of hands on work in mobile application development across both iOS and Android, plus backend API development (preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in React Native, Objective C, and Spring Boot (Java) (preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, including app configuration and enterprise level support (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of API development, application infrastructure, and back end development
• Real experience with complex systems and computer science fundamentals
• Comfortable with continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration
• You know your way around IT infrastructure project management and mobile application development
• People management and solution engineering skills matter here
• Strategic collaboration and team management are part of the job

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $85,000.00 to $145,075.00 annually. What you actually get offered depends on your experience and qualifications. The person who gets this offer will have to go through a background investigation.
