Real Estate Agent

This is a Portfolio Manager role for Commercial Real Estate in Chicago, IL. It's not about selling houses; it's about managing the bank's risk and relationships on the commercial side. You'll be deep in the analysis, making credit decisions, and working directly with lenders and clients.

What you'll do

• Analyze financials and assess risk to make lending decisions on new loans, renewals, and extensions.
• Prepare clear, well reasoned credit write ups for Commercial Real Estate Lending deals.
• Oversee the documentation and ongoing monitoring of asset and client performance.
• Use financial models and other tools to evaluate capital structures for clients.
• Present facts and offer your opinion on a client's creditworthiness.
• Coordinate with Lenders to prepare proposals for prospective clients.
• Assist in negotiating terms and conditions via phone and email with clients; you might also coordinate closings with the closing department, clients, and attorneys.
• Stay current on financing trends in your target clients' markets and share that intel with the team.
• Act as a daily escalation point to make sure client expectations are met or exceeded. You're a trusted advisor here.
• Design regular reports, ad hoc reports, and dashboards as needed.

The background we need

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
• A post secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that gets you to the same place.

That means you can analyze complex situations, solve problems effectively, influence others when needed, and make data driven decisions. Excellent verbal communication is non negotiable; so is excellent writing. Collaboration matters just as much as being able to handle things on your own. And you're proficient with bank products, processes, systems; you can troubleshoot issues to ensure a high quality client experience without breaking a sweat.

The pay & benefits

The salary range for this salaried position is $88,800 to $165,600 annually. What you land in that range depends on factors like location (we're hiring in Chicago, IL), your specific skillset, experience level, education, and qualifications for this role. The total compensation package may include performance based incentives or discretionary bonuses beyond base salary.
