Prep Cook

Chili's in Chicago, IL needs a Prep Cook to handle the Heart of House. You're the person who makes sure the line has everything it needs before the rush hits. No experience is required, so if you're willing to learn, they'll teach you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Follow every recipe procedure exactly as written; no winging it here.
• Prep a variety of foods using different methods ; chopping, mixing, portioning, that sort of thing.
• Keep your station stocked and set up so the cooks can do their thing without stopping.
• Follow company safety and sanitation policies to keep everyone healthy.
• Use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, and other kitchen equipment safely.

Who You Are

• You're friendly and warm with your coworkers; nobody likes a grump on the line.
• You think fast and act faster when it gets busy; this is not a slow paced kitchen.
• You don't need prior experience ; just show up ready to work and learn.
