The Role
Experis is hiring a Lab Tech Sr. for a biotech and research client in Chicago, IL. This role sits in the R&D department, supporting projects that push scientific work forward. It’s a hands on position for someone who can handle both the benchwork and the documentation.
What You'll Do
- Get materials ready and run molecular lab instruments in wet environments (reagents) and non wet ones (water).
- Write detailed test execution reports about how the instruments are operating and performing.
- Run ad hoc and scripted testing to see how changes in configuration affect instrument functionality.
- Do routine user maintenance on lab instruments, following the established procedures.
What You Need
- Experience working in a lab, especially with molecular instruments.
- A solid grasp of lab safety rules and maintenance protocols.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills ; you’ll be writing things down clearly.
- The ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them without a lot of hand holding.
- Good communication skills and a mindset that works well with others on a team.
Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this role in Chicago, IL is $22/hr to $25/hr. You'll get paid weekly.
