The Gig

This is a full time Billing Clerk role at a well established dealership in Chicago, IL. It's an immediate opening, and they need someone who really knows their stuff. You'll be the person who makes sure every vehicle sale is accounted for correctly, from the moment the deal is written up. It's a big deal, because if the billing isn't right, the whole deal falls apart.

What You'll Actually Do

• Grab every deal that comes in from both the New and Pre Owned Sales departments.
• Check that all the paperwork in each deal is accurate and complete.
• Prepare the lender packages so they're ready to be submitted for financing.
• Cut the payoff checks for trade ins.
• Log every sale transaction into the dealership's Reynolds & Reynolds DMS.
• Double check your work by using the reporting systems and cross referencing everything with the Finance & Insurance log.

What You Need to Have

• Previous experience as a Billing Clerk. That's non negotiable.
• Automotive industry experience. That's not strictly required, but it's a major plus, and truthfully, it makes the job way easier.
• Solid analytical and research skills; you'll be digging into details every day.
• Strong computer proficiency. You need to be comfortable working in a digital environment.
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is a big plus. If you've used it, say so.

Schedule

You'll work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Weekends off. That's it.

Requirements

You need to be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and you have to be a current resident. This role also requires you to pass pre employment testing, which includes background checks, a Motor Vehicle Record check, and a drug screening.
