Maintenance Supervisor

The Job

Aramark needs a Maintenance Supervisor for their Chicago, IL location. This role is about more than just fixing things ; it's about leading a team, keeping the facility in top shape, and making sure everything runs smoothly from a maintenance standpoint. You'll be the person who makes sure the day to day operations are safe, efficient, and meeting client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll wear a few different hats here. Leadership is a big piece, and you're expected to mentor, engage, and develop your teams. That means recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance. You'll coach employees by creating a shared understanding of what needs to get done and how to do it. You'll also reward and recognize people when they do good work. Safety and sanitation standards are non negotiable, so you'll make sure those are met.

On the client side, you'll develop and maintain solid relationships. You'll deliver and model the WEST approach as the foundation for excellent customer service. Identifying client needs and communicating operational progress is part of the deal. You'll build trust and credibility by showing your technical know how. You'll provide technical expertise across all maintenance areas and lead maintenance related sales opportunities. You'll customize maintenance programs based on what each client specifically needs. You'll also help with planning and information as the STAR selling model gets applied during client interactions.

Financially, you're responsible for building revenue and managing the budget. That includes cost controls for maintenance, inventory, projects, and labor. You'll make sure P&L and client budget statements are completed and maintained. You'll adopt all Aramark processes and systems, eliminating custom or manual reports. You'll understand performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends, and you'll educate your teams on the key levers to improve margins. You'll build and maintain effective working relationships with other departments for a unified approach. You'll provide overall direction and manage performance for Facility and Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, and front line employees. That includes ensuring employee development, engagement, and compliance with HR policies and standards, plus conducting applicable rounding. And you'll make sure the operation stays in compliance with safety, OSHA, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.

What You Need

• 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a management role
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• The ability to manage as part of a larger team or manage the function independently without direct supervision
• You need to be able to multitask ; it's a must

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this salaried position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that's the amount Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation as of the time of posting.
