Dental Hygienist

What the job is

Duda Dental Associates, LLC needs a hygienist to cover certain days in Chicago, IL. We're looking for someone with a good attitude ; warm, caring, and with some energy to bring to the chair. It's not a full time guarantee; it's a fill in situation on specific days, and we want to know what your schedule actually looks like before we lock anything in.

Schedule details

We're primarily after coverage on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. That could be all three, or just one or two of those days ; it depends on your availability and what works for both of us. Tell us what you've got open, and we'll see how it fits.

Compensation

$65 per hour. That's the rate for this role in Chicago, IL.

What you'll actually do

• Perform cleanings and periodontal therapy on patients of all ages
• Take and develop dental x rays as needed
• Document patient care, medical histories, and any findings in the chart
• Screen patients for oral cancer and other issues
• Educate patients on home care techniques and hygiene routines
• Apply sealants and fluoride treatments
• Manage your own schedule and patient flow for the days you're in
• Work with the dentist to develop treatment plans when necessary

What you need to bring

• An active Illinois dental hygiene license
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in a general or family dental practice ; we won't train someone fresh out of school for this one
• Local anesthesia certification (IL allows it, and we'll use it)
• Your own sense of compassion and patience, because not every patient loves coming to us
• Reliability ; if you say you'll be here on a Tuesday, be here on that Tuesday
