Airport Operations Agent

The Opportunity

Swissport International AG is hiring an Airport Operations Agent for our Chicago, IL station. We handle ground, cargo, and passenger services for over 300 million passengers every year. It's a lot of moving parts, and we need someone who can keep them all in order.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and control staff assignments, reporting, and absences
• Manage staff overtime and compensation tracking
• Keep safety and quality standards where they need to be
• Maintain and update company manuals, customer manuals, and documentation
• Stay current with the local emergency plan
• Build and keep good working relationships with customers and airport authorities
• Report any irregularity and take the right action
• Attend internal meetings and contribute
• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures and policies
• Handle Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station
• Work toward reducing employee injuries, aircraft damage, and equipment damage
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Solid English skills ; both verbal and written
• At least 2 years of leadership experience
• Comfortable dealing with conflicts when they come up
• Strong oral and written communication
• Able to work under pressure without dropping the ball
• Customer focus and awareness of quality
• High standards when it comes to quality and service level agreements
• Flexible with working hours ; this isn't a 9 to 5 situation

Pay & Benefits
