The Job

This is a driving job with Koch Foods in Chattanooga, TN. It's about getting live birds from the farm to the plant, and it's not a desk gig. You will be on the road, in the weather, and working with live animals. Every day is different, but the rules don't change.

You will need to follow all DOT safety rules, plus company policies and whatever local, state, and federal laws apply. It's a safety first kind of role, and that's not negotiable.

What You'll Actually Do

Transport live birds from the farm to the plant. That's the core of it.
Perform pre trip inspections on your truck before you roll. Make sure the load is secured properly.
Keep your paperwork straight. Complete all required documentation.
Maintain truck cleanliness. Nobody wants to drive a dirty rig.
Handle any other relevant duties that come up. This is a hands on job.

What You Need

A Class A Commercial Driver's License. That's non negotiable.
At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience. They will check.
A clean motor vehicle driving record. If you have accidents or tickets, this isn't for you.
The ability to sit and drive for up to 10 hours. That's a lot of windshield time.
You'll regularly climb in and out of the truck cab throughout your shift. It's not a sit and stay job.
Work outside in all weather. Rain, snow, heat ; it doesn't matter.
Occasionally lift 50+ pounds. Not every day, but it can happen.
Work around raw, live animal odors. If you have a sensitive nose, think twice.

This is a 1st shift position. The exact start time and days will depend on the location, but you're looking at early mornings.
