Registered Nurse
About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this nursing job at UVA Encompass Health in Charlottesville, VA. I've been placing people here for a while. They run a tight ship, but the folks who work there tend to stick around. It's inpatient rehab, so you're seeing people through a really specific part of their journey.
The Work
You're the RN guiding patient care. You'll do assessments, build the care plans, and supervise treatments. A big part of it is talking with patients and their families; you need to understand what they're going through to help them move forward.
- You collaborate with other departments constantly to keep care coordinated.
- When things get complex, other staff will look to you as a resource.
- And you get to be there for the wins, big and small, when a patient hits a milestone. That's the good stuff.
What You Need to Bring
They need a valid state RN license, no two ways about that. You also need current CPR certification.
- A year of experience in a rehab hospital is a definite plus.
- They'd love it if you had your CRRN certification or your ACLS.
The Schedule & Pay
This is for full time positions. The shifts are 12 hours, working three days one week and four days the next. The pay range is $34.95 to $48.50 an hour, depending on your experience.
Benefits (They Start Day One)
- Medical, dental, and vision plans that won't break the bank for you and your family.
- Paid time off that builds up as you're here.
- Help with tuition if you want to go back to school.
- A 401(k) plan where the company matches what you put in, plus an employee stock purchase plan.
- Flexible spending and health savings accounts are also on the table.
How to Apply:
If this sounds like your kind of work, apply through the platform. Make sure your resume clearly shows your RN license and any rehab experience you have.
A Quick Note:
The hospital is an equal opportunity employer focused on building a diverse team. All offers are contingent on passing a background check and drug screen. Reasonable accommodations can be made during the application process if you need them; just let someone know.
