Retail Sales Associate

What you'd be doing

You'd be stationed inside a national home improvement store in Charlotte, NC. Your main job is to talk with customers about upgrading their heating and cooling systems, improving indoor air quality, and saving energy.

It's a conversation starter role. You're there to set up free in home consultations or schedule system tune ups. If someone's interested, you pass them along; our expert sales advisors take it from there.

What we need from you

• A real willingness to walk up and start conversations with shoppers. It's the core of the job.
• A friendly, outgoing personality helps a ton. Any past sales experience is a bonus.
• You'll be on your feet, standing and walking for most of a shift; up to 6 hours at a stretch.
• You need your own reliable way to get to and from the store you're assigned to.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Weekend availability is essential. The retail schedule includes some holidays, too.
• A clean, professional look is required since you're representing our brand.
• There's a weekly meeting at our office you have to attend.
• We do run a background check as part of the hiring process.

The details & what we provide

The base pay is $18 to $20 an hour. On top of that, you earn commission. With commission included, folks typically average between $20 and $30 an hour total.

The schedule runs Monday through Sunday. We have both part time and full time openings available right now.

You get paid every week via direct deposit. We provide all the training you need; no HVAC knowledge or experience is necessary to start. And there's a clear path here to move into a Sales Advisor position if that's your goal.
