Cashiers are the first person our guests see. You're directly responsible for making sure they have a great experience from start to finish. You'll take orders, handle payments, keep the dining room clean, and deliver excellent service by following standard operating procedures with a sense of urgency.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day

  • The training part: Complete all training requirements including the Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan, hands on stations training, and any other training Zax LLC requires.
  • The guest part: Greet guests as soon as they walk in and thank them as they leave. Provide friendly, enthusiastic service every time.
  • The menu part: Know the current promotions cold. Explain menu items, answer questions honestly, and suggest additional items when it makes sense.
  • The order part: Accurately enter guest orders into the point of sale system. Accept payments, operate the cash register correctly every time, and maintain receipts.
  • The cash part: Handle cash payments ; count tills accurately, verify totals throughout your shift, record everything properly.
  • The cleanliness part: Keep guest areas spotless: dining room tables and floors; counters; bathrooms; even outside around the building exterior. Report equipment maintenance needs to management.
  • The stocking part: Stock up on paper goods like napkins and wrappers; condiments like ketchup and sauce packets; serveware like cups and bags; beverages in fridges or dispensers before they run out.
  • The food prep part: Prepare menu items according to company standards in a safe, sanitary way. That includes making beverages exactly right; prepping sauces fresh each day; cleaning produce when needed ; anything we serve safely from behind that counter.
