About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Rapid Response RN role at Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC. This isn't your standard floor assignment. You're the one they call when a patient's condition starts to trend the wrong way. It's about anticipation, quick assessment, and intervention before a situation becomes critical. You need to think fast, act decisively, and communicate clearly with the primary care team.
What you'll do here
You'll be responding to calls hospital wide for adult and pediatric patients who need immediate clinical evaluation. Your job is to stabilize, recommend a level of care, and facilitate transfers if needed. You're a resource for the nursing staff, providing support and expertise during developing emergencies.
What you need to bring
- A current South Carolina RN license or a compact state license; if you don't have it yet, you must obtain it within 90 days of starting.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing is required; again, this needs to be obtained within your first 90 days if not already completed.
- You've got to get certified in BLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within that same 90 day window after you start.
The schedule & the offer
This is a full time position. The sign on bonus is $10,000. We're upfront about that because it matters.
How we support you
The benefits package is legitimately comprehensive. It's built to cover health, finances, time off, and your future.
- Medical coverage includes prescription drugs, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
- There's wellbeing support with free counseling sessions.
- Your time away is covered: paid time off, paid family leave, and disability coverage for both short and long term situations.
- The 401(k) plan has a 100% match on 3% to 9% of your pay, depending on how long you've been here. There's also an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
- They help with education through tuition assistance, student loan support, and certification reimbursement.
- The list goes on: fertility and family building benefits, adoption assistance, life insurance, even things like auto insurance discounts and legal counseling.
