What This CDL A Driver Role Looks Like

You'll be home every night and every weekend with BlueLinx. That's the kind of schedule that lets you have dinner with your family, sleep in your own bed, and actually enjoy your days off. This is a first shift position with a starting pay of $29.51 per hour.

You'll drive flatbed and curtain side trailers ; and here's the good part: no tarping. Just strapping. The equipment is new, safe, and reliable.

What You'll Do

• Properly secure loads with straps only ; no tarping involved
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle customer product returns when needed
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate any issues that come up
• Maintain a daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Keep up your electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct unloading by customers when required

What You Need

• A valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience within the past 3 years
• A safe driving record
• The ability to secure loads properly
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
